Aclasta (Zolendronic acid) infusion
Aclasta is indicated for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis and for the treatment of Paget’s disease of the bone.
Aclasta is a single 15-20 minute intravenous infusion treatment (into a vein in the arm via a “drip”) which bypasses the digestive system and goes straight to your bones where it increases bone density and prevents the bone from breaking down too early. Aclasta can be given each 12-24 months as needed for the treatment of osteoporosis.
Aclasta can be administered by a nurse here at Matamata Medical Centre. Please check your eligibility with your GP.
