What is the Medical Centre currently open for? Appointments are available to all, however if you have cold or flu symptoms you must not attend the clinc. Stay home & call to arrange a phone consultation. We can also book you for a covid test. You must phone to book an appointment or email us for non urgent matters.
Access to the building – You must wear a mask when attending clinic.
Appointment Bookings – Please see the Manage My Health section below, for appointments, test results etc. If you are not registered for Manage My Health, then please email us instead of phoning if possible. Our phone lines are very busy.

Covid Testing
Appointments are by booking only and for symptoms only. For boarder crossing and surveillance swabbing please go to https://covid19salivatesting.co.nz/
We offer a drive up service from 2.00pm to 3.30pm each week day for any person wanting a covid test. You do not have to be enrolled at MMC. (We cannot test on weekends as there are no lab couriers operating.)

Tests are done in the rear carpark accessed via the ambulance driveway at Pohlen Hospital.
Please wear a mask and remain in your car and the Nurse or Doctor will come to your car.
We’ve been rolling out ManageMyHealth. ManageMyHealth makes it easy for you to connect with Matamata Medical Centre, anytime. Book appointments online, access your medical records, receive test results and more – all via the ManageMyHealth online portal or mobile app.
To be able to login to Manage My Health, you will need to give us your email address. You must have a single email address per person. We’ll ask you for it at your next appointment with us. You won’t be able to login until we have entered your email address into our system. Once we have entered your email address, we will send you an email with an activation code.
If you have already setup your Manage My Health – then you can use the button above to login.
If you have received an activation code then click the button above to activate your account.
If you haven’t recieved an email activation code, but would like to be setup for ManageMyHealth, then you can email us with your name, DOB, and email address you would like to use for ManageMyHealth. Note – only one person can use one email address. We suggest creating another email account, at gmail.com if you need a second account.
Matamata COVID Vaccinations
Update at 18 August 2021: COVID VACCINATIONS WILL START AGAIN ON FRIDAY – If your appointment has been delayed due to Level 4, you will be contacted to be re-booked.
We have opened a Community Clinic at St Johns Hall, Rawhiti Avenue, Matamata. To make a booking – visit the Book My Vaccine website, or call the National Booking line on 0800 28 29 26. Please remember to wear a mask for your vaccination and follow social distancing requirements.
The Book My Vaccine website contains the latest information on when you can book your vaccine.
Please note that Matamata Medical Centre is not able to make bookings, and all bookings must be made via the Book My Vaccine website, or via the National Booking phone line.

Prescription collection and payment: After 3 working days collect your repeat script from the Medical Centre with payment by Eftpos or credit card.

Online payment is required first when wanting script to be sent out of town
Out of town script requests and home delivery;
Non-Matamata Pharmacies: $25.00 to cover script fee, postage and handling, CSC holders: $20.00.
Online Pharmacies: $15.00 normal script fee, script may be delivered free, conditions apply.
