Fee Update

We would like to advise that from 9 June 2025, we are adjusting our fee schedules for healthcare services – e.g. GP, Nurse & Paramedic Consultations, medical assessments and some other services.

In recent times, the New Zealand Government has given approval for General Practice to increase their fees up to $65 for a standard adult to compliment a below inflationary increase to their funding offer. The Directors of Matamata Medical Centre are continually reviewing the impact this would have on our community and business.  We have refrained from increasing our fees unnecessarily, however our operating costs continue to increase.

So that we can sustainably continue to provide healthcare services, extended operating hours and increase capability to provide high quality healthcare to our community by employing more local nurses, paramedics, and doctors a small fee increase will come into effect.

There is no change to fees for patients with a Community Services Card (CSC).
